Brian Evenson est un auteur américain talentueux, né le 12 août 1966 à Ames, Iowa. Il a grandi avec un père qui était professeur de physique à Brigham Young University (BYU) depuis longtemps et qui est devenu ensuite administrateur. En tant que jeune homme, Evenson a servi une mission de deux ans pour l'Église de Jésus-Christ des Saints des Derniers Jours en Suisse et en France, ce qui a eu un impact significatif sur sa vie et son œuvre. Le parcours académique d'Evenson comprend une licence de l'BYU et des maîtrises et un doctorat de l'University of Washington.
Evenson est connu pour sa polyvalence dans l'écriture de fictions littéraires et populaires. Certaines de ses fictions populaires ont été publiées sous le pseudonyme B. K. Evenson.
