Christopher Pike

Christopher Pike est le nom de plume de Kevin Christopher McFadden, un auteur à succès américain connu pour ses thrillers young adult, horreur, science-fiction et romans pour enfants. Pike est né à New York le 12 novembre 1955, mais a passé sa jeunesse en Californie, où il réside toujours actuellement. Avant de connaître le succès en tant qu'auteur, Pike a exercé divers métiers, notamment le travail en usine, la peinture en bâtiment et la programmation informatique.

La carrière d'écrivain de Pike a débuté avec des mystères pour adultes, mais il a connu un plus grand succès dans le genre du thriller pour adolescents après qu'un éditeur lui ait suggéré d'essayer d'écrire pour un public plus jeune. Son premier succès important dans ce genre fut avec le roman "Slumber Party", publié en 1985, qui mettait en scène un groupe d'adolescents qui rencontraient des événements bizarres et violents lors d'un week-end au ski.
