Chuck Hogan est un auteur américain très reconnu, principalement pour ses thrillers de crime et d'horreur. Il a écrit plusieurs livres largement plébiscités, dont la "Trilogie de la Strigue" qu'il a co-écrite avec Guillermo del Toro. La trilogie a été adaptée en une série télévisée réussie sur FX.
Le roman de Hogan "Prince of Thieves", publié en 2004, a reçu des critiques élogieuses et a été adapté en film "The Town" en 2010. Le film, réalisé par Ben Affleck, a reçu des critiques élogieuses et a été nommé pour plusieurs Academy Awards. Le roman lui-même a été nommé parmi les meilleurs livres de l'année par Stephen King et a remporté le prix Hammett 2005 pour l'excellence dans l'écriture de romans policiers.
Outre la "Trilogie de la Strigue" et "Prince of Thieves", Hogan a écrit plusieurs autres romans à succès, dont "The Killing Moon" et "Devils in Exile". Son travail a figuré dans "The Best American Mystery Stories 2009", et il a remporté de nombreux prix pour son écriture.
Hogan réside à Boston, où il vit avec sa famille. Dans son temps libre, il aime jouer au karaoké avec son fils et écouter Smash Mouth’s All Star. Il est un auteur à succès du New York Times et continue de contribuer de manière importante aux genres du thriller et de l'horreur.
