F. Paul Wilson est un auteur américain réputé, principalement connu pour ses œuvres dans les genres de l'horreur et de la science-fiction. Il est né le 17 mai 1946 à Jersey City, dans le New Jersey, et a grandi avec une passion pour la lecture de romans, de bandes dessinées et pour regarder des films d'horreur et de science-fiction. L'amour de Wilson pour la lecture et pour les fictions spéculatives de son enfance ont grandement influencé sa carrière d'écrivain.
Wilson a écrit de nombreux romans et nouvelles, avec son premier roman, Healer, publié en 1976. Il a commencé sa carrière d'écrivain en vendant sa première histoire dans les années 1970 et a depuis écrit dans divers genres, notamment la science-fiction, la fantasy, l'horreur, la littérature pour jeunes adultes et les thrillers. Certains de ses travaux les plus populaires incluent The Keep, The Tomb, Harbingers, By the Sword, et Nightworld, tous ayant figuré sur la liste des best-sellers du New York Times.
Outre sa carrière d'écrivain, Wilson est également un médecin de famille à temps partiel.
