Jonathan London est un auteur américain à succès de fiction, particulièrement connu pour ses livres pour enfants. Il a une grande appréciation pour le monde naturel, souvent reflétée dans son travail. London a écrit plus de 70 livres pour enfants, avec de nombreux titres mettant l'accent sur la nature.
L'amour de Londres pour la nature peut être retracé jusqu'à son enfance en tant que « Navy Brat », où il déménageait tous les deux ou trois ans. Cette exposition à différents environnements a suscité sa curiosité et son appréciation pour le monde naturel. Il a ensuite traduit cette passion dans son écriture, créant des histoires qui donnent vie à des récits amusants et légers, tout en mettant en valeur les merveilles de la nature.
Outre ses livres pour enfants populaires sur la nature, Londres est également l'auteur de la série d'adorés « Froggy », qui compte plus de vingt-huit livres. La série, saluée par les enfants et les critiques pour son humour et son storytelling captivant, a été inspirée par ses fils, Aaron et Sean.
London a publié plus de 120 livres depuis 1992 et a remporté de nombreux prix pour son travail, dont le National Outdoor Book Award (NOBA), le National Science Teacher's Association Outstanding Children's Trade Book Award et l'ILA/CBC Children's Choice Award.
